Appearance is an extension which enables developers to adopt the high-level toolbox APIs introduced in Mac OS 8, making it available on systems as far back as 7.1.
ColorSync 2.5
This package is an update to the ColorSync 2.5 SDK. It includes an update to ProfileRenamer, as well as new calibrator and scripting plug-in code samples.
ContextualMenuManager
CMM is a Mac OS™ technology which allows the user to perform operations on application data in a context-sensitive manner. Along with the Mac OS extension, documentation, and sample code, this SDK contains two sample CMM plug-in projects and headers and stub libraries, some of which are not present in Universal Headers.
Installer SDK
The Installer SDK provides documentation and examples to help developers and administrators take advantage of Apple installation tools. Version 1.2 of the SDK includes released versions of Upgrader (1.2.1) and Installer Engine (4.5.1), which will ship with Mac OS 8.5. The shipping version of Installer 4.0.8 is also included.
Interfaces & Libraries
The 3.2 Universal Interfaces is an update to the 3.1 release. The new additions are interfaces and libraries for the Mac OS 8.5 (late beta), QuickTime 3.0 (final), NavServices, and TEC 1.4.
Mac OS USB DDK
This is the update for the Mac OS USB DDK. The software supplied in this release corresponds to the USB components that are included as part of the iMac Update v1.0.
Includes the necessary system components to support third party PCI based USB cards via the v1.0.1 USB SW, plus updated PrinterClassModule sample, draft Technote on Writing USB Drivers for the Mac OS, USBModem example driver, as well as the previous example drivers and utilities.
MRJ 2.1 Early Access 2
This pre-alpha software tracks the Sun JDK 1.1.5 specification and contains many architectural changes and bug fixes. It features better Swing support, faster graphics, and better overall performance. It does not yet contain the Symantec JIT technology that was announced on May 11. Note that this release requires QuickTime 3.0, which you can download from the QuickTime home page. Note also that it runs only on a PowerPC-based Mac OS 8.x system

The QuickTime 3 SDK is now a retail product, which can be ordered through the Apple Store at http://www.apple.com/store
QuickTime 3 now incorporates both the QuickTime VR and QuickDraw 3D technologies into one convenient package. In addition, Sound Manager is also now part of the QuickTime 3 release. All of these technologies and their respective SDK components are integrated into the QuickTime SDK.

SyncCatch
SyncCatch is a debugging tool that catches synchronous File Manager and Device Manager requests made from code running as the result of an interrupt. If it catches one of these illegal synchronous requests, it drops into MacsBug with a message.
